The Validation Stage

About Course

Stage 1 is where you find out whether your business is real. You’ve landed a client — maybe a few — and it felt like validation. But early revenue and true repeatability are not the same thing, and confusing them is the single most common reason founders stall out between $0 and $30,000.

This course installs the diagnostic system for telling the difference. Across four modules, you’ll separate what actually happened in your early client work from the story you told yourself about it (Seeing Clearly), install the Validation Loop and extract the Three Signals every client interaction produces (Finding Patterns), turn what you’ve found into a Clarity-First explanation and evidence statement you can use in real conversations (Using It in Conversations), and apply all of it to your own business in a structured workbook (Application + Workbook).

By the end of Stage 1, you’ll know — with evidence, not just confidence — whether what you’ve built is a moment or a model. And you’ll have the language, the tracking system, and the habit to keep proving it as you grow.

What Will You Learn?

  • Tell the difference between an early win that's a data point and one that's proof of repeatability
  • Extract the four data points every early client interaction produces: urgency, source, prior attempts, and hesitation
  • Separate what actually happened from the story you told yourself, using the Facts / Story / Gap framework
  • Recognize when confidence is running ahead of the evidence that actually supports it
  • Run the Validation Loop — a five-question habit — after every client interaction
  • Identify the Three Signals — pricing, positioning, credibility — every interaction produces
  • Apply the Repeatability Test to tell a real pattern apart from momentum
  • Build a Clarity-First explanation of your work from patterns, not possibilities
  • Write an honest evidence statement that avoids both overclaiming and underclaiming
  • Use the five-question Early Conversation Framework to understand before you explain
  • Plan your next five conversations so they produce data, not just memories
  • Apply everything from the course to your own business in a structured workbook
  • Know the specific, evidence-based signals that mean you're ready for Stage 2

Course Introduction
Most people treat the zero to thirty thousand dollar range as a hustle problem. Keep moving. Sign more clients. Stay in motion. And I understand why — momentum feels productive, and stopping to examine anything can feel like slowing down when you should be speeding up. But Stage 1 isn't a hustle problem. It's a reading problem. Your early work is already producing signals — signals about who your best clients are, why they hired you, what they hesitated on, where your offer lands and where it doesn't. The question isn't whether those signals exist. It's whether you're slowing down enough to actually extract them. Here's what it feels like when you're in it. Every client feels like a different business — nothing seems to repeat. Or when something does repeat, you don't notice it. You're moving fast but not getting clearer. And confidence and evidence are running at different speeds — you feel good about the direction, but you'd struggle to explain specifically why. That feeling — moving without getting clearer — is the defining challenge of this stage. And it's what this course is designed to fix.
